A University of Wyoming policy debate team has been invited to the prestigious Las Vegas Round Robin tournament scheduled Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The policy partners are Grae Harper, a civil engineering major, and Michael Bausch, a secondary education major, both from Boise, Idaho.
"Harper and Bausch are the number two ranked team of all applicants for the event," says Matt Stannard, director of forensics at UW. Teams invited to the tournament are from universities around the country including Gonzaga University, Columbia University, and California State University at Fullerton.
Last season, the pair went undefeated at the Denver University tournament, and was in elimination rounds at Texas, North Texas, and the Cross Examination Debate Association national championship. Bausch took second at last year's Round Robin tournament with a different partner.
