UW Young Constitutionalists Win $1,000 Activism Grant
September 29, 2009 — The Young Constitutionalists, a University of Wyoming student club whose mission is to develop and train tomorrow's leaders while working to promote education of the U.S. Constitution, has won a $1,000 grant from CampusReform.com.
The UW club was recognized for its day-long event on Constitution Day earlier this month. UW College of Law alumnus Benjamin Barr, a senior fellow at the Goldwater Institute who is representing Citizens United before the Supreme Court, and two state legislators spoke at the event. The club also handed out free pocket Constitutions.
UW's winning entry was chosen from among a national pool of applications.
