Nominations for National Student Award Accepted

December 7, 2009 — University of Wyoming faculty and staff can nominate deserving students for the USA Today All-USA College Academic Team scholarship.

Nominations for students demonstrating academic success while making a difference in the UW community can be turned into the Student Leadership and Civic Engagement (SLCE) office.

Students named to the academic team represent outstanding graduates by having their photos published and accomplishments spotlighted in USA Today's Life section. They also receive a trophy and a $2,500 award.

Criteria for the award include grades, leadership, activities and the student's essay describing his or her most outstanding intellectual endeavor while in college. Students must also be a full-time (12 credits) undergraduate of at least junior standing.
