University of Wyoming employees contributed $110,723 (more than 97 percent) of the $114,000 goal during the recently completed United Way campaign.
Debra Beck, public relations coordinator for the College of Education, and Bob Beck, Wyoming Public Radio news director, were the Albany County United Way campaign chairpersons this year. They reported that the overall goal of $360,000 was achieved.
"Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and donors who allowed us to help 12 vital agencies," the Becks said. "The record contributions say everything about the concern the university community has for Albany County during some tough economic times."
