UW Golden Key Elects New Officers

(Story mentions Casper, Guernsey, Lusk, Rawlins, Sundance and Plevna, Mont.) Feb. 2, 2010 -- The University of Wyoming chapter of Golden Key International Honor Society, the world's largest collegiate honor society, has elected new officers.

The 2010 Golden Key officers are:

Casper -- Laurel Plemmons, historian and honorary member and campus officials liaison.

Fort Collins, Colo. -- Nicole Hougard, public relations director.

Guernsey -- Desirai Lopez, president.

Lusk -- Staci Reed, treasurer.

Mumbai, India -- Monaz Mistry, service director.

Plevna, Mont. -- Makayla Tisdell, fundraising director.

Rawlins -- Jill Hagan, secretary.

Sundance -- Jim Follum, vice president.

Golden Key, founded 1977, is an academic honor society that recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.

Membership into the society is by invitation to the top 15 percent of college and university sophomores, juniors, seniors and top-performing U.S. graduate students in all fields of study.
