Summit View Apartment Deconstruction (South of Willett Drive between Crane and Soule streets to Coe Street) -- Deconstruction is ongoing with 14 buildings deconstructed. Foundation waterproofing, perimeter drain and backfill continue. Concrete will be poured on part of the first floor slab-on-grade. Steel erection detailing continues throughout the structure. Metal wall stud framing continues on the exterior and the interior walls of the second floor. Exterior sheathing will start.

Education Annex (Scheduled Completion: Fall 2010) -- Art design and related finish upgrades are being installed on the second and third floors. Demolition will continue this weekend, with access to classrooms restored for Monday classes.

College of Business Expansion and Renovation (Scheduled completion: Fall 2010) -- Exterior landscaping will continue. Replacement of the walk along Ivinson is scheduled for the week of May 10 -- the sidewalk will be closed. Final cleaning and inspection is under way at the addition. Furniture installation continues at the renovated portion of the project.

War Memorial Stadium Expansion and Improvements (Scheduled completion: Fall 2010) -- The East Stadium parking lot is closed until August. East side restroom updates continue, and upper east front edge beam will be placed this week for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) seating extension. ADA bridge from the elevators to upper east concourse is complete. West window and metal panel installation is ongoing. Evening and weekend work will continue through summer.

Kendall House (Southeast corner of 8th and Fremont Streets, will become the
Helga Otto Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources)
-- Boiler start up is scheduled for next week with test & balance to follow. Flooring is nearly complete. Landscaping is continuing. Finish painting is continuing both inside and outside.

Biological Safety Lab, Level Three (BSL3) additions to the State Veterinary Laboratory -- Exterior paving and site work will continue. Finish work is under way in the interior. Test and balancing is under way on the mechanical systems.

Energy Resource Center (old power plant site) -- The site is currently being used for construction staging and parking. A surveying crew may be on this site depending on their schedule.

The UW Physical Plant reports the following activities for the week:

College of Education Building -- Two of the three doors at the main entrance to the building on the south side will be closed for replacement beginning Monday. The ADA accessible doors at that entrance will remain operational. Work will continue at this entrance for about two months. Please use caution around the work area.

Wyoming Hall -- The south entrance remains closed for door replacement. A temporary ramp and handrail have been constructed at the east entry for handicap access. Signs are posted.

Bureau of Mines Building -- The building's north entrance is closed for upgrading the entrance and replacing the door. Special access needs should be coordinated with the required department in the building or through the University Disability Support Services office (766-6189). The entrance will be closed for a few more weeks. Patching and painting will occur in the main hallways and stairwells. Please use caution around work areas and be aware of paint fumes in the building.

Classroom Building -- Work on the doors at the southeast corner of the building is substantially complete. Access will return to normal Monday.

Service Building -- Roof replacement will occur on the south side of the building beginning Monday. The staging area will be on the southwest corner of the building and may temporarily impede access to the Fleet Services door.

Knight Hall -- Masonry repairs to the planter at the southwest entrance to the building are complete.

College of Agriculture Building -- Electrical work continues in AG 6016. No outages are anticipated.

Campus Metering -- Condensate meters are being installed in buildings on the west campus; no shutdowns will be required. Electric meters will be installed in several of the Greek houses after the end of spring semester. Electrical shutdowns will be scheduled with building occupants. Water meter replacements will occur on west campus after the end of spring semester. Water shutdowns will be scheduled with building occupants.
