An international cast of rock climbing's most dedicated athletes will showcase in the film "CORE," that can be seen May 5 at the University of Wyoming.

Director Chuck Fryberger presents his latest rock climbing film, "CORE," Wednesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. in Room 129 of the University of Wyoming Classroom Building with a $5 cover charge at the door.

The film features an international cast of the sport's most dedicated athletes as they ascend some of the world's most difficult climbs. A close examination of each featured climber offers perspective beyond just their achievements on the stone.

From Helsinki to Hueco, Africa to Italy and the enclosed forests of Tuscany to Lander, this film delves into the landscapes and lifestyles that define rock climbing today.

"CORE" is Fryberger's follow-up to his hit bouldering film "PURE". Fryberger documents the moments and the athletes that define climbing, shot in a unique style that invites the viewer to be part of the experience.

This program is co-sponsored by the UW Outdoor Program. For more information, call (307) 766-2402.
