UW Marketing Group Recognized at National Conference

The University of Wyoming chapter of the American Marketing Association won a national award for outstanding collegiate chapter planning.

The award, presented at the association's recent international conference, recognizes "great efforts made in professional development, community service, membership and fund raising." More than 1,500 U.S. and international students attended the conference.

The UW AMA was recognized for implementing activities that encouraged professional development and involvement with the national chapter. Activities included scheduling guest speakers and planning for a sustainable business practices forum to be held next fall at UW.

The following students accepted the award while attending the conference:

Cleveland, Ohio -- Charles Farina, marketing senior, director of communication.

Green River -- Jesse Brown, communication/public relations senior, vice president elect.

Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam -- Tu Vu (Nina), finance junior, director of finance elect.

Hot Springs, S.D. -- Jordan Schroeder, agricultural business senior, director of finance.

Lancaster, Pa. -- Jessica Szwast, business administration senior, vice president.

Laramie -- Aubrey Johnson, marketing senior, president.

Rawlins -- Westin Grabow, marketing senior, chapter member.

Rock Springs -- Stephanie Harsha, communication senior, director of membership elect.

Sheridan -- Kelli Sathre, marketing senior, director of membership.

Sundance -- Ian Policky, management and finance sophomore, president elect.
