UW Calendar for Week of June 6-12


June 9, 2010 — textThese are among the activities scheduled at the University of Wyoming during the week of June 6-12:

Tuesday, June 8-Saturday, June 12, 7:30 nightly -- The 2010 Snowy Range Summer Theatre and Dance Festival opens with the comedy "A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking," in the Fine Arts Center Studio Theatre. Tickets cost $10 for the public, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for students. For tickets call (307) 766-6666 or go online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts.

Wednesday, June 9, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Singer/songwriter Cary Judd will perform a free concert at Simpson Plaza. Free food is available for UW students.

Sunday, June 13, 7 p.m.- Summer Classics Institute public lecture, "Republic and Empire: Roman Conservatism and Roman Growth," Phil Holt, UW classics professor. Free programs will be presented at 7 p.m. through Thursday, June 17, in Room 186 of the UW College of Law Building.
