The University of Wyoming Seiyo Shorin-Ryu Karate Club will host a Mudansha Clinic, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at the College of Education gymnasium/dojo.
The clinic is open to all current members of the Seiyo Shorin-Ryu. Members should bring their own lunch. For more information, go to the Web site at https://www.uwyo.edu/karate or e-mail uwkarateclub@gmail.com.
In other news, several UW Seiyo Shorin-Ryu Karate students were recently recognized for promotions. Crystal Cooling and Erik Mitchell were promoted to 9th Kyu (yellow belt), Catherine Kissner was promoted to 7th Kyu (blue belt), Eddie Yaracz was promoted to 5th Kyu (green belt) and Deanna Hurless was promoted to 3rd Kyu (brown belt).
The testing for promotion involves participation in more than 65 hours of instructed training followed by three days of testing.
