Thursday, July 29, is the deadline for University of Wyoming employees to join TEAM UW for the Race for the Cure scheduled Saturday, Aug. 14, at the State Capitol in Cheyenne.
UW employees can register here. Cost is $22. As of today (Monday) UW continued to lead all of the participating teams in fund raising for the event.
The Race for the Cure benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization supporting breast cancer research. Since its inception in 1982, the organization has raised more than $1.5 billion for research, education and health services, making it the world's largest breast cancer charity.
