A retirement reception for Barbara L. Kissack, senior project coordinator for Wyoming NSF EPSCoR, is scheduled Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 2-5 p.m. at the University of Wyoming Alumni House.
She began working in the UW Department of English in 1973 and has worked at UW since, taking a year-long break to obtain a degree in philosophy.
She has held several positions, having served in the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office, University Public Relations, the Wyoming Volunteer Assistance Corporation, and as the state director for the Science and Mathematics Teaching Center's Future Problem Solving program.
"Through all the years I've been at UW, I've been privileged to know and work with some of the best people in world," Kissack smiles. "My friends and colleagues are the best part of my time here, and I'm grateful for them!"
