Dawn Gould to Retire from UW

August 30, 2010

Dawn Gould, the longest serving member of the Office of Academic Affairs, will retire from the University of Wyoming Sept. 3.

Gould joined Academic Affairs in 1995 after having worked at the Wyoming Department of Transportation in Sheridan. She started in the front office and later assumed responsibility for the academic personnel records and for the administrative support of the faculty appointment, reappointment, tenure and promotion review processes.

"Dawn has been a tremendous resource and partner for her colleagues in the office and across the university," says Nicole Ballenger, associate provost. "She will be greatly missed. Please join the Office of Academic Affairs in wishing her much happiness in the next phase of her life."

Gould and her husband Jay plan to travel, including a trip to Ireland, and spend more time with their family, especially their two grandsons. She looks forward to lots of knitting and reading.
