How do these films mirror and reinforce significant geopolitical shifts? The talk will answer these questions and more! August 24, 2010 — The UW International Programs Office, in conjunction with the Provost's Office, announces the Fall 2010 Travel Grant Competition. All UW faculty and academic staff are invited to submit proposals for funding of up to $2,000 per project for travel that will further the goals of internationalization at UW. Dr. Tim Sheehan will be giving a special presentation on Chinese martial arts, health, and internal training. Dr. Sheehan a 31-year veteran Instructor of Martial Arts and Founder (in 1989) of Medicine Wheel Acupuncture Center in Cheyenne, WY, has studied Indonesian, Indian, Chinese, and Filipino martial arts for over 40 years. After the presentation, we will have a meeting for those wanting to apply for membership in the new campus martial arts club, the Asian Martial Arts Association. Find out how you can get involved.
