Comedian Ron White to Perform at UW

Ron "Tater Salad" White will perform Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Arts & Sciences auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Reserved tickets will be on sale starting Monday, Oct. 4, for UW students and Wednesday, Oct. 6, for non-UW students. Tickets, $18 for UW students and $28 for others,
will be sold at the Wyoming Union information desk, the Fine Arts Center box office, and online at http://uwyo.edu/finearts.

White made his debut in 2000 when he performed on Comedy Central's "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" with Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. Since then, he has performed for sold-out audiences. He attracted the third largest viewership in Comedy Central's history and his one-hour special, "You Can't Fix Stupid," became basic cable's top show in prime time in 2006.

Because of his success, White has been honored with two Grammy nominations, a gold record, three of the top-rated one-hour specials in Comedy Central history and a New York Times best-selling book.
