EOR Commission to Meet Sept. 15

September 8, 2010

The University of Wyoming's Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Commission will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Snow King Resort in Jackson.

The commission's regularly-scheduled quarterly meeting will follow a two-day conference sponsored by UW's Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI), also at Snow King. "Recovering Stranded Oil Through Improved and Enhanced Oil Recovery Technologies" will feature presentations on geology, EOR technologies, residual oil zones and EOR screening.

The EOR Commission is funded by the state of Wyoming to support the EORI. In addition to its aggressive research agenda, EORI engages in cooperative and contractual agreements with independent producers, and offers short courses, workshops and technical outreach meetings to assist in the transfer of current EOR technologies to Wyoming producers.
