Reminder on UW Political Policy

September 20, 2010 — The UW Office of Governmental and Community Affairs reminds faculty and staff that under university regulation and policy, use of university facilities, including e-mail and listservs, is not allowed to campaign for candidates or ballot initiatives.

The policy, in part, states that UW facilities cannot be used by external groups without authorization of the president or his designee for political campaigning by or for candidates for public office, or for ballot measures.
