University of Wyoming Calendar for Sept. 27

These are among activities scheduled Sept. 27-Oct. 3 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. -- National Public Radio's Ellen Weiss and Alicia Shepard will lead discussions on changes in the media in Room 506 of the University of Wyoming's William Robertson Coe Library.

Monday, Sept. 27, 5:30 p.m. -- A news panel discussion with NPR's Weiss, Shepard and Wyoming Public Radio News Director, Bob Beck, Salon C of the Hilton Garden Inn and UW Conference Center.

Tuesday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. -- Engineering, science and technology job fair in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. For a list of registered employers go to the Web site at www.uwyo.edu/cacs.

Tuesday, Sept. 28, 8 p.m. -- Punch Brothers, a band with a style that has been described as introducing bluegrass instrumentation and spontaneity in the structures of modern classical, performs a free concert in the UW College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

Tuesday, Sept. 28-Saturday, Oct. 2, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. -- "Fuddy Meers" plays on the UW Fine Arts main stage. Tickets cost $14 for the public, $11 for senior citizens and $7 for students. For tickets and information call (307) 766-6666 or go online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts.

Wednesday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. -- Business, government and non-profit job fair in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. For more information, go to the Web site at www.uwyo.edu/cacs.

Wednesday, Sept. 29, 4 p.m. -- The University of Wyoming Police Department will auction many bicycles along with unclaimed lost and found property. The auction will be held at the north parking lot of the UWPD Building at the corner of Flint and 15th streets.

Thursday, Sept. 30- Friday, Oct. 1, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. -- "Unlocking the Digital Marketplace: Legal and Ethical Issues" is the theme of the 10th annual Consumer Issues Conference in the University of Wyoming Union. For more information visit www.uwyo.edu/consumerconference/default.htm.

Thursday, Sept. 30, 4 p.m. -- How (Not) to Understand India through Bollywood Cinema, a special presentation by Mir Ali Husain, Room 314 of the Classroom Building. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m. -- Wyoming Jazz Ensemble with special guest Stefon Harris in the College of Arts & Sciences auditorium. $10 public, $6 student and $7 senior citizens. To purchase tickets visit www.uwyo.edu/finearts/tickets.

Saturday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m. -- Sven Larsen will discuss his newly published book, the "Dark Side of the Welfare State" in Room 310 of the Classroom Building.

Saturday, Oct. 2, 1 p.m. -- Cowgirls Soccer vs. BYU at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.

Saturday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirls Volleyball vs. San Diego State in the UniWyo Sports Complex.
