UW Ag College Honors 2010 Award Recipients

UW Professor Emeritus Quentin Skinner will be honored as an oustanding alumnus of the UW College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Pinedale and Worland natives, an association that has shaped Wyoming landscapes and an alumna whose continuous involvement with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources after her graduation earned recognition will all be honored during Ag Appreciation Weekend Sept. 17-18 at the University of Wyoming.

The college's outstanding alumni, research/outreach partner of the year and legacy winner will be recognized.

UW Professor Emeritus Quentin Skinner, who was raised in Pinedale, and Alex Ogg, who grew up on a farm near Worland, will be honored as outstanding alumni.

The Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts, which represents 34 individual districts concerned with water quality and watershed health across the state, is this year's outstanding research/outreach partner.

Department of Family and Consumer Sciences graduate Tammy Au-France of rural Laramie is the Legacy Award winner. Au-France attends department events, travels with professors and students during overseas trips and has established an endowment that has modernized equipment, computer software and provided for faculty member development.

The attendees will be recognized during the dean's Ag Appreciation Weekend dinner Friday, Sept. 17, and during the UW-Boise State football game Saturday.
