As United States Information Service artistic ambassador and member of the Fadial-Vanderborgh Duo, Vanderborgh has performed on four continents, including recitals at the Kennedy Center, the Phillips Collection, the Teatro Nacional in Costa Rica and the American University in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.

She continues to serve as principal cellist of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and as artist-faculty with the Eastern Music Festival, where she performs with the Eastern Festival Orchestra.

Higdon's residencies are part of the Eminent Musicians-in-Residence Series, which engages the most compelling artists of the 21st century. Established in 2008 by the Wyoming Legislature, the series "fosters UW's exploration of creativity and the imagination," says UW Symphony Conductor Michael Griffith.
