State High School Football Championships in Laramie Nov. 12

All five Wyoming high school classifications will play state championship football games Friday and Saturday at War Memorial Stadium.

The Wyoming High School Football Championships will be in Laramie Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13, for the second consecutive year.

All five Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) classifications will play in War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming.

The 1A 6-man game will be Hanna-Elk Mountain High School against Little Snake River High School of Baggs at noon Friday, followed by the 3A title game at 3 p.m. with Buffalo High School facing Douglas High School.

Three games will be featured Saturday. At 10 a.m. Hot Springs County High School of Thermopolis plays Big Horn High School for the 2A state championship; the 1A 11-man title game at 1 p.m. will be Niobrara County High School of Lusk against Cokeville High School; and the 4A state championship game at 4 p.m. features Sheridan High School and Natrona County High School of Casper.

Games are hosted jointly by the Albany County Tourism Board, the Laramie community and UW in conjunction with the WHSAA. 

Tickets to all championship games can be purchased online by visiting the WHSAA Web site at www.whsaa.org. Fans also may purchase tickets through the UW Athletics Web site at www.WyomingAthletics.com  by clicking the "Buy Online" selection under the "Ticket" menu at the top of the page.

All-session tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for youth (ages 3-18). Single-day tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for youth. All tickets are general admission. Tickets also will be on sale on game days at the main UW Athletics Ticket Office on the Arena-Auditorium's west side; the east side of the arena's stadium entrance ticket booth and at the ticket windows on the south side of War Memorial Fieldhouse. All will call tickets will be at the Arena-Auditorium main ticket office.

Seating in War Memorial Stadium will be in the lower levels on both the east and west sides. The home team (higher seed) in each classification will be located on the east sideline of the stadium and the visiting team (lower seed) will be on the west side.

Parking for all games will be free at the stadium's east parking lot and additional free parking is also available in the east parking lots near the Cowboy baseball field and the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.

Fans parked in the east stadium parking lot on Friday and Saturday are asked to move their vehicles by 6 p.m. so that donors may park in their reserved spots for the UW basketball games both nights.

The UW Athletics Department is offering $12 adult tickets and $6 youth tickets the Cowgirl basketball game against Denver at 7 p.m. Friday in the Arena-Auditorium and also for the men's game with Kean University Saturday at 8 p.m. Free parking for the basketball games will be available in the Brown parking lot north of War Memorial Stadium near the Centennial Complex.
