UW Hockey Club Beats Air Force

The University of Wyoming hockey club skated to a 6-2 victory Friday night over the U.S. Air Force Academy at the Laramie Ice and Events Center.

Matt Schulz (Casper) and Dustin Galbreath (Greenwich, Conn.) each scored two goals to lead the Cowboys, who have won four consecutive games following a seven-game losing skid. In goal, Robert Kola (Colorado Springs, Colo.) turned aside 30 shots to earn the win.

Luke Walker (Jackson) and Ryan Bourcier (Warren, Mich.) also scored goals for UW (5-7), which netted the game's first three goals to take command against the Falcons. Willy Miller (Arvada, Colo.) recorded three assists for the Cowboys.

Bourcier, who ranks second on the team to Schulz in points, also had two assists. Rick Comer (Gillette), T.J. Peters (Jackson) and Patrick Ramsey (Houston, Texas) had one assist apiece.

UW returns to the ice Dec. 3-4 with home games each night against the University of Colorado. The Buffaloes beat the Cowboys 5-4 in overtime Oct. 30.
