Schell Receives Harold P. Alley Award
December 13, 2010 — Scott Schell, assistant extension entomologist with UW's
College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, has been awarded the Wyoming Weed
and Pest Council's Harold P. Alley Award.
The award was
presented for Schell's help with grasshopper and other entomology issues in
Wyoming. Presented annually since 1984,
the award honors the late Professor Harold Alley, who was a weed scientist at
UW.
The award is defined:
"This award is given in honor of this great scientist to an individual who has provided support, leadership, motivation and education toward the advancement of weed and pest control programs in Wyoming. Dr. Alley went above and beyond these qualifications."
