Computer Security Seminar Feb. 8

Information Technology will present a free seminar on computer, data and identity protection from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8. Protect your data, protect your identity and help protect the university network and critical administrative data and learn strategies to protect your home machine as well.

"We will discuss passwords, viruses, spyware, hacking and phishing as well as physical and system security precautions," says Doug Roehrkasse, training and support specialist. "Come and learn about the best practices to improve security in the workplace and at home, as well as how to protect yourself from identity theft."

Because space is limited, please e-mail computer.training@uwyo.edu to register in advance. You will be sent an e-mail confirmation along with the seminar location upon registration. Workshops are open to all university faculty, staff, students and board retirees.
