UW Singing Statesmen to Perform in Glenrock, Lander and Afton

January 5, 2011 — One of the University of Wyoming Department of Music's newest groups, the Singing Statesmen, have scheduled free performances Jan. 12-14 in Glenrock, Lander and Afton. All performances are at 7 p.m. and are open to the public.

The schedule:

Wednesday, Jan. 12 -- Glenrock Middle School auditorium.

Thursday, Jan.  13 -- Lander Valley High School auditorium.

Friday, Jan. 14 -- Star Valley High School auditorium.

While focusing primarily on the standard male chorus repertoire, the Singing Statesmen specialize in music unique to the university, state and region.  What brings these talented young men together is the enjoyment of making music and the special camaraderie that is such an important part of the choral singing experience.
