Annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Art Auction, Banquet Feb. 26 at UW
February 14, 2011 — An annual banquet and art auction to benefit juvenile diabetes research is at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, in the University of Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom. Doors for the silent auction open at 5 p.m.
Cardinal Key, the UW junior class honorary, hosts the "Revealing the Cure" banquet. Items in the silent auction will include local gift certificates and other donations from local businesses.
Dinner will be accompanied by a testimonial from a UW student who has spent his life managing diabetes, followed by a speaker who is certified in diabetes education who will shed some light on the gains that have been made in juvenile diabetes research.
UW's women's a capella group, the Bettys, will perform to close the silent auction. The evening concludes with a live auction that will include an array of artwork. Altitude Chophouse and Brewery will cater the dinner.
Dress for the evening is business formal attire. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International.
