Harold Neemann Memorial Service

A memorial service for Harold Neemann is set for Thursday, Feb. 24, at 5:15 p.m.  at the University of Wyoming Art Museum.

Neemann, who died last summer, taught French language, culture and literature at UW for 12 years. In his research, he focused and published widely on French and German fairy tales and folk narratives of the 16th and 17th centuries. He wrote a widely acclaimed book on the topic, "Piercing the Magic Veil - Toward a Theory of the Conte," published in Germany in 1999.

He served on the university's College of Arts and Sciences scholarship committee for a number of years and also coordinated the French section of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages.
