Application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, March 11, for INBRE (Wyoming IDeA Networks for Biomedical Excellence) undergraduate research fellowships. Selected applicants will receive a $3,500 stipend.
UW undergraduate students in the biological and physical sciences or mathematics who want to conduct research this summer on biomedical or health science related topics are encouraged to apply for the awards.
"The award is intended to support the student while conducting an independent research activity directed by a UW research mentor," says Scott Seville, INBRE program coordinator. "The goal is to provide students with meaningful research experiences that will encourage them to pursue undergraduate or graduate degrees and careers in biomedical related programs."
Literature reviews and survey research will not be considered for these awards.
