The Social Connection: Social Media and Your Business

February 17, 2011

Anya Petersen-Frey, social media specialist, will teach a free seminar on incorporating social media marketing strategies into a traditional marketing plan at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Natrona County Public Library in Casper.

The class will be held in the Crawford Room.

Petersen-Frey is a regional director for Wyoming Entrepreneurs.

The class will focus on social networking methods that can help stretch advertising dollars and better target marketing efforts.

Petersen-Frey will also discuss what kinds of businesses can best benefit from this kind of advertising and how to create a social media marketing plan. A better understanding and knowledge of usefulness of such sites as Facebook and Twitter will be taught.

This seminar will demonstrate how social connectivity and interactivity can help strengthen a business, both by attracting potential customers and communicating with other business partners.

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made, if requested at least two weeks in advance.  Additional support is provided by the Wyoming Business Council and the University of Wyoming.
