New UW Residence Life, Dining Services Director Selected
Patrick N. "PC" Call has been selected by Sara Axelson, vice president for Student Affairs, as the University of Wyoming's executive director of Residence Life, Dining Services and the Wyoming Union. His appointment is subject to approval by the UW Board of Trustees.
A national search was conducted with the assistance of a campus-wide screening committee led by Jo Chytka, UW Center for Advising and Career Services director. Call will start his new duties in July.
At UW, Axelson says Call will be responsible for directing and managing residence life programs, operations and facilities, including more than 2,000 residential spaces and 300 student apartments; overseeing self-operated dining services including a central dining hall, retail dining operations at various campus locations and campus-wide catering; and the Wyoming Union programming and services.
Call is now the director of Residence Life and Student Housing at the University of New Mexico. Before taking that position, he was associate director for Residential Education in the Department of Residence Life at the University of Arizona. His experience includes service as an area coordinator at the University of Arizona and as a residence coordinator, orientation-food service-facilities coordinator, campus judicial officer and student activities adviser at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
Call earned a B.S. degree in radio and television and an M.S. degree in higher education administration and student personnel, both from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
He is a member of the American College Personnel Association, the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International, Association of Intermountain Housing Officers, Association of Student Conduct Administrators, National Association of College Auxiliary Services and National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
