UW President Tom Buchanan Statement on the Death of Kevin White

June 6, 2011 — University of Wyoming President Tom Buchanan issued the following statement upon learning of the death this weekend of former UW police officer and Wyoming State Legislator Kevin White:

"The entire UW community is saddened by the untimely death of Kevin White. He was a well-known and respected member of the UW police force and a dedicated employee for nearly 30 years. He also contributed countless hours as a volunteer and as an elected representative to make the Laramie community and the state a better place in which to live. Our thoughts are with Kevin's family and friends at this difficult time."
