July 25, 2011 — Associate Professor Allen Trent has been appointed associate dean for undergraduate programs in the University of Wyoming College of Education effective Aug. 1.
He will oversee the Wyoming Teacher Education Program and the Office of Teacher Education. Trent replaces Judy Ellsworth, who plans to retire this fall.

He also was selected as one of the Mortar Board senior honor society's "Top Profs" three times.
A UW faculty member since 2000, Trent was chair of the Educational Studies Department from 2005-2009. He earned a Ph.D. (2000) at The Ohio State University, an M.S. (1992) at the University of Dayton and a B.S. (1986) at Eastern Kentucky University.
