Military Veterans Study Abroad Grant Available at UW

University of Wyoming military veteran students have an opportunity to study abroad during the 2012 academic year.

UW's International Studies Program has received a grant that will be administered through the Veterans Services Center for two UW veteran students to receive up to $7,500 each to study abroad next year. One scholarship will be awarded for the spring 2012 semester and the second scholarship will be given for the summer/fall session.

To be eligible, the student must be a veteran, be in the National Guard or active military duty, have sophomore standing at the time of application and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Dependants of veterans do not qualify.

The application deadline for the spring award is Saturday, Oct. 1, and for the summer/fall 2012 session is Saturday, April 1.
