We Are Scientists to Perform at Presidents Barbeque

New York based indie-rock band We Are Scientists will perform a free concert at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 on Fraternity Mall at the University of Wyoming

New York based indie-rock band We Are Scientists will perform a free concert at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 on Fraternity Mall at the University of Wyoming.

The band's second album, "With Love and Squalor,"was the breakthrough to their success in the music industry.  Influenced by bands such as My Bloody Valentine and Hall & Oats, We Are Scientists have created a sound that is both energetic and original.

Extremely popular in the United Kingdom, We Are Scientists also star in the British television comedy series Steve Wants His Money.  The group has also been recognized for their song "After Hours" after it was featured in the hit movie Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
