The Wyoming Retirement System will offer two educational seminars Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Senate Chambers, Room 221 of the Wyoming Union.
All employees who participate in the WRS pension plans (including the Law Enforcement Plan) are welcome to attend. No reservations are needed.
The first presentation, "Understanding Retirement Benefits-Taking Charge of Your Retirement," is from 1-2 p.m. It is for newer employees or those unfamiliar with their retirement benefits. The seminar includes an introduction to WRS pension, personal investment vehicles and basic retirement planning.
The second presentation, "Retirement Strategies: Reaching Your Destination with Pre-Retirement Planning," is from 2:30-4 p.m. It is for anyone within 10 years of retirement or proactive planners. The seminar provides in-depth information about setting goals, sources of retirement income (pension, Social Security, personal investments), investment strategies and distribution planning.
