Denver-based 80s cover band Chadzilla and the Asteroids will perform a free concert Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom.

As part of UW's annual Homecoming Week, the Student Activities Council and the University Bookstore teamed up to reintroduce past decades of UW's history to current students.

To celebrate the bookstore's 90th anniversary, a fashion show will take place Oct. 13 from 3-4 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Gardens, featuring clothing inspired by the unique fashions representative of past eras. Students are encouraged to attend the dance dressed in 80s attire. Various gift baskets, apparel and Apple products donated by the bookstore will be given away as prizes for best costume, couples and most spirited.

"Having a 1980s-themed dance seemed to fit in perfectly with Homecoming week because many UW alumni that graduated during that decade will be returning to enjoy the festivities," says Anna Rader Student Activities Council lead programmer. "It will also be a very good opportunity for current students to get involved with Homecoming week and all the celebrations that take place."
