More than 1,100 View Gorbachev Speech Online

October 24, 2011 — An online video of former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev's Oct. 14 speech at UW's Arena-Auditorium has received more than 1,150 views as of 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24. Additionally, the question and answer session has received 250 views.

People can view the video on UW's website, www.uwyo.edu.

The video has been posted primarily because a malfunction in the amplification system at the Arena-Auditorium shortly before Gorbachev's speech made it difficult for some people to hear him, in spite of the efforts of UW sound crews.
