WPM Has another Successful Statewide Membership Drive

October 31, 2011

Wyoming Public Media reached its $290,000 Fall Membership Drive goal Friday in just 61 hours of on-air fundraising through the generosity of more than 3,000 individual contributors and dozens of businesses.

WPM includes three radio stations: Wyoming Public Radio, Classical Wyoming and Jazz Wyoming. This fall's drive excelled at fundraising on all three signals simultaneously.

"We made a combined appeal to listeners across our three networks," says Development Director Peg Arnold. "It is something few public stations have accomplished, and it allows us to spend less time on air fundraising and more time providing excellent programming."

A service of the University of Wyoming, Wyoming Public Media includes: Wyoming Public Radio, which airs news from National Public Radio and the BBC; Classical Wyoming, with 24/7 classical music; and Jazz Wyoming, with 24/7 jazz.
