"Bronwyn's Factory" is one of two works by University of Wyoming Art Professor Ricki Klages selected to appear in Manifest Press' inaugural International Painting Annual.

University of Wyoming Art Professor Ricki Klages is among 79 artists from around the world whose works were selected to be included in the International Painting Annual published by Manifest Press.

The 180 page, full-color survey of contemporary painting from across the globe has taken more than a year to produce. It features two recent paintings by Klages, "Earth" and "Bronwyn's Factory."

Manifest received more than 1,200 submissions from 430 artists in 46 states and 26 countries. Ten professional and academic advisers qualified in the fields of art, design, criticism and art history juried the painting annual. Each jury member assigned a quality rating for artistic merit to each work submitted. The entries receiving the highest average combined scores are included in the publication.

Previously, UW's two drawing faculty members, Doug Russell and Shelby Shadwell, had works selected in the Manifest International Drawing Annual.

Klages has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has received many awards in juried exhibitions, including the jurors' choice award from The Butler Institute of American Art, Baer Award in Painting from the Wyoming Arts Council and two Wyoming Arts Council Fellowship grants. She was featured in a juried publication, "New American Paintings."
