UW Hockey Club Beats Colorado School of Mines

The University of Wyoming hockey club snapped a three-game losing streak Friday with an 8-3 victory over the Colorado School of Mines in Littleton, Colo.

Ethan Crockett (Cheyenne), Dustin Galbreath (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Tyler Roberts (Douglas) scored two goals apiece to lead the Cowboys. Noah Crank (Cheyenne) and Sam Dielwart (Calgary, Alberta) also netted goals.

Also for UW, Ben Squires (Centennial, Colo.) recorded three assists and T.J. Hill (Cheyenne) earned the victory in goal.

Dielwart, Roberts, Taylor Freeman (Parker, Colo.), Jake Marcus (Douglas), Willy Miller (Arvada, Colo.), Mitch Nelson (Sheridan) and T.J. Peters (Jackson) also had assists for the Cowboys.

The teams' scheduled Saturday game in Laramie was cancelled due to poor travel conditions on Interstate 80.

UW (3-6) plays three games at the Clash in the Corn tournament this weekend at Sioux Center, Iowa.
