It may be the off-season, but the University of Wyoming's indoor practice facility will be put to good use this weekend for a large youth soccer tournament.
UW Cowgirl soccer and Laramie Blizzard soccer host the third annual Cowboy Turf Wars at the UW indoor practice facility beginning Friday through Sunday afternoon.
Approximately 120 youth soccer teams representing five states are scheduled to compete. More than 2,000 people -- team members, relatives and fans -- are expected this weekend in Laramie, according to Marcella Wright, Cowboy Turf Wars tournament director.
