Annual Juried UW Student Exhibition Winners Selected
February 8, 2012 — More than $22,000 in cash and purchase awards has been awarded to the winners of the University of Wyoming Art Museum's 37th annual Juried UW Student Exhibition.
The exhibition, on view at the UW Art Museum through March 17, celebrates the creative work of UW students from all disciplines and includes painting, printmaking, metalwork, sculpture, graphic design and more.
"A highlight of the Art Museum's annual programming, the juried student exhibition is a professional opportunity for students to prepare and present their work in a public setting and for our museum visitors to see a selection of artwork made by young artists at the university," says Susan Moldenhauer, UW Art Museum director and chief curator.
The exhibition is also an opportunity to recognize and support the artistic work of students through purchase and cash awards. As a result, many of the works will be added to the student art already seen in the President's Office, Coe Library and other locations around campus.
