UW Hockey Club Drops Season Finale

The University of Wyoming hockey club lost 8-3 Saturday night to the University of Colorado in its 2011-12 season finale.
Noah Crank (Cheyenne) had a goal and two assists and Ethan Crockett (Cheyenne) added a goal and an assist to lead the Cowboys. Tyler Young (Douglas) netted UW's other goal, and Jake Bates (Jackson) had an assist.
The Cowboys' scheduled Friday game at the University of Colorado-Denver was canceled due to poor travel conditions out of Laramie.
UW finished 8-15 in Eric Wood's first season as head coach.
