The University of Wyoming hockey club lost two games last weekend against the University of New Mexico in American Collegiate Hockey Association action.
Despite four goals by Ethan Crockett, a sophomore from Cheyenne who has emerged as one of the Cowboys' top offensive threats, UW fell 6-4 and 7-3 against the Lobos. Noah Crank (Cheyenne) added a goal and two assists in the weekend series, and Dustin Galbreath (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Levi Wood (Cheyenne) each had a goal and an assist.
Taylor Freeman (Parker, Colo.) had three assists for the Cowboys. Jake Marcus (Douglas), T.J. Peters (Jackson) and Brandon Wiseman (Laramie) also had assists.
UW (8-14) finishes its regular season this weekend. The Cowboys play Friday at the University of Colorado-Denver and face off Saturday against the University of Colorado inside the Laramie Community Ice and Event Center.
