Annual Cowboy Youth Classic June 22-23 in Laramie

Beef, goat, hog and lamb fitting and showing clinics begin the Cowboy Youth Classic in Laramie Friday and Saturday, June 22-23.

The annual show/clinic is at the University of Wyoming's Cliff and Martha Hansen Livestock Teaching Arena, located approximately three miles west of Laramie on Wyoming Highway 230. Current 4-H and FFA members take part.

The event draws about 60-80 youths. Contestants are required to attend their choices of mandatory showmanship workshops Friday. A quiz bowl is at 7 p.m.

Livestock shows start at 9 a.m. Saturday. They are, in order, market goat, market lamb, market swine and beef.
