Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission to Meet Wednesday in Casper

May 3, 2012

The state's Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Petroleum Club, 1301 Wilkins Circle, in Casper. The meeting is open to the public.

The commission will recognize the resignation of two members, whose terms have expired, and their replacements. A new chairman will be named. The director of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) at the University of Wyoming will review staffing, equipment purchases, and upcoming workshops and conferences. EORI's participation in a Wyoming Pipeline Authority project through the state, along with the status of current projects, will be discussed.

For more information, call Kathy Olson, EORI office manager, at (307) 766-2791 or email KAOlson@uwyo.edu.

The EORC is funded by the state of Wyoming to support the EORI at UW. In addition to its aggressive research agenda, EORI engages in cooperative and contractual agreements with independent producers, and offers short courses, workshops and technical outreach meetings to assist in the transfer of current EOR technologies to Wyoming producers.
