J Shogren
J Shogren and his band, Shanghai’d & Shipwrecked, will give a free concert from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, on the University of Wyoming Simpson Plaza.
Shogren is not only a musician, but a distinguished professor in the UW Department of Economics and Finance. Splitting his time between living in Sweden and Wyoming, Shogren has pulled together a talented group of musicians who blend a variety of different musical styles into one.
“He is a brilliant storyteller from Wyoming,” says Lennart Persson of Rootsy. “Hard boiled, sometimes dark humorous stories delivered with a voice that clearly has lived through them.”
