Tessa Dallarosa is the University of Wyoming Art Museum’s new Ann Simpson Artmobile curator.

As an important member of the Art Museum’s education team, the Artmobile curator is responsible for implementing outreach programs that align with in-house education programs. Dallarosa will travel with an exhibition of original artwork to every corner of Wyoming.

“The Ann Simpson Artmobile is a special program, and brings together many interests of mine -- art history, printmaking, teaching and community outreach,” Dallarosa says. “I’m incredibly excited and thankful to be a part of this education team here in this state I love and now call home.”

“Tessa brings valuable expertise and great enthusiasm to the Ann Simpson Artmobile program,” says Susan Moldenhauer, UW Art Museum director and chief curator. “We are delighted to have her join the Art Museum team to deliver this statewide program.”

Dallarosa received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors from UW, with an emphasis in printmaking. She also holds a B.A. degree in sociology and philosophy from Regis University, Denver, Colo., and did graduate work at the University of California, San Diego. Dallarosa was previously employed by the University of Denver as part of a community-based research team focusing on social change within Denver Public Schools.

For 29 years, the Ann Simpson Artmobile has toured Wyoming, engaging students and patrons in hands-on art making activities. For scheduling information, contact Dallarosa at (307) 399-2941 or email artmobile@uwyo.edu.

A premier UW outreach program, the Artmobile is funded by the Julienne Michel Foundation, the FMC Corporation, Helga and Erivan Haub, and Ann and Alan Simpson. The Ann Simpson Artmobile van is provided by the FMC Corporation and the McMurry Foundation. Additional support is provided by the Wyoming Arts Council through the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Ann Simpson Artmobile Endowment.
