Extreme Friday Events on National College Colors Day
Extreme laser tag and a foam dance pit party kick off the fall semester’s Friday Night Fever Aug. 31 at the University of Wyoming. Both events are at 8 p.m. in Prexy’s Pasture.
“Laser Battle is a new evolution of laser tag, including an inflatable course for a new level of intensity,” says Elizabeth Gibbons, UW Campus Activities Center marketing coordinator. “Brought in by Gravity Play Entertainment, foam dance parties are a whole new dance craze experience. Foam dance pits are used with a professional DJ staff.”
UW’s MP3 Flashmob will perform in celebration of National College Colors Day before the Friday Night Fever events.
UW’s MP3 Flashmob will start in two different locations at 7:45 p.m. Locations are predetermined based on attendees’ birthdays. Students born between Jan. 1 and June 31 will meet at West Fraternity Mall, and those with July 1-Dec. 31 birthdays will organize at Ninth and Ivinson streets.
“Make sure that you show up at your starting point in time to hit play at exactly 7:45 p.m.,” Gibbons says.
The MP3 will be available for downloading beginning Aug. 27. To attend the event, participants must download the MP3 and pick up a UW MP3 prop kit from the UW Bookstore between Aug.27-Aug. 31.
Friday Night Fever also will offer the summer hit film “The Avengers” at 6:30, 9 and 11:30 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room on Aug. 31.
