These are among the activities scheduled Oct. 1-7 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Colorado State-Pueblo, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Monday, Oct. 1-Friday, Oct. 19, 8 a.m. -- Cal Bracken's art exhibition “Such is Life” will be displayed, Wyoming Union Gallery 234. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. -- 2012 Fall Job Fair, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 2-Saturday, Oct. 6, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 7, 2 p.m. -- The UW Theatre and Dance Department presents Noel Coward’s “Blithe Spirit,” Fine Arts main stage. Tickets cost $14 for the public $11 for seniors, and $7 for students.

Tuesday, Oct. 2, 8 p.m. -- “The Awakening” will be shown as part of SAC Scary Movie Night, Wyoming Union lower level. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m. -- Musician and artist Spencer Bohren performs, Fine Arts Center Room 128. Free.  

Wednesday, Oct. 3-Friday Oct. 5 -- Major consumer financial protection issues will be covered during the 12th 2012 Consumer Issues Conference, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 4, 3 p.m. -- Gen. James Mattis, commander of U.S. Central Command, will speak on “Perspectives on the Middle East,” College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Symphony Orchestra will be joined by guests The Shanghai Orchestra and piano soloist Gabriela Martinez for the “Crossroads of the World.” Tickets cost $10 for the public, $7 for seniors and $6 for students, plus a $.50 ticket charge.

Friday, Oct. 5, 2 p.m. -- Ribbon cutting to dedicate Sullivan Plaza, northeast corner of Prexy’s Pasture. Free.

Friday, Oct. 5, 9 p.m. -- Chadzilla and the Asteroids perform, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Saturday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Fresno State, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Saturday, Oct. 6, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Cultural Programs presents piano soloist Gabriela Martinez, Fine Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $20 for the public and $17 for students and seniors.

 Sunday, Oct. 7, 4:10 p.m. -- A lecture by Bible translation scholar Dr. Philip Stine opens the exhibition “Manifold Greatness: the Creation and Afterlife of the King James Bible” that can be seen through Oct. 31, William Robertson Coe Library Room 506. Free.
